The federal government has appointed retired 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗭𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗾𝗯𝗮𝗹 as the new 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 (𝗡𝗘𝗣𝗦𝗔) for a 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 following approval by Prime Minister 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗵𝗯𝗮𝘇 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳. According to an Establishment Division notification, the position carries an 𝗠𝗣-𝟭 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 and operates under the 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆. NEPSA is responsible for overseeing 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 related to explosives and petroleum activities across Pakistan.
